We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Manager to join our team at our vibrant, retro, arcade bar and restaurant in Centralia, Washington. The Assistant Manager is responsible for helping the General Manager to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant, bar, and arcade, as well as managing and delivering excellent guest experiences. You will ensure efficient restaurant operations, as well as maintain high productivity, quality, and provide exceptional service to our guests, while maintaining a positive work environment for our staff. Duties will include training and developing staff, creating work schedules, and ensuring health and safety regulations are carried out. Ensuring quality of food, enjoyment of guests, managing shifts and making sure the business is running at peak performance at all times. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will be essential in driving the business’s success.

This is a WORKING Assistant Manager position. You must be able to fill in as necessary as a Server, Bartender, Cook, Dishwasher, and Arcade Attendant. This position requires you to be available to work ALL evenings and weekends and be on-call.

Compensation for this position ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour tips.

Prior experience as a general manager, assistant manager, shift lead, team lead, supervisor, or experience in other food service lead roles is required.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

• Minimum of one year experience in leadership role in the restaurant industry.
• Must be able to fill in for the General Manager in all capacities as needed.
• Perform all tasks related to opening and closing of establishment.
• Provide guidance and support to staff members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
• Conduct monthly staff meetings to ensure high standards of service and productivity.
• Must posses detailed knowledge of front and back of house management.
• Must be fluent in ordering, tracking inventory, scheduling, interviewing, training, and customer service.
• Attend interviews with General Manager and assist with hiring decisions.
• Create training plans for new hires.
• Assist in training new hires, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the menus, restaurant policies, and customer service standards.
• Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
• Review weekly schedule made by General Manager to ensure coverage.
• Ensure policies and procedures are being followed by monitoring Jolt checklists and compliance.
• Responsible for cleanliness of entire establishment and adherence to cleaning tasks.
• Responsible for working closely with the Kitchen Manager on Kitchen Operations.
• Oversee food preparation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as the restaurant's quality standards.
• Monitor the quality of food, beverages, and service to ensure consistency and meet or exceed guest expectations.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, promptly addressing guest concerns, and resolving any issues that arise.
• Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the development and execution of sales and marketing initiatives, such as promotional events, special offers, and social media campaigns, to drive business growth.
• OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
• Washington State MAST Permit and Food Worker Card required.
• Must be able to stand for 10 hours.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Available to work 30-40 hours per week with a very flexible schedule and ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Good computer skills.

• Must be able to pass a background check.
