Inserso is Hiring an Information System Security Officer Near Panama, FL

Inserso is seeking candidates with strong backgrounds and skills to support Information Assurance (IA)-related program needs and perform Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) related duties. Candidates must be familiar with Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD processes and use of federal (i.e. DoD, NIST) and organization specific published documents to manage system(s) operation and sustainment.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess and identify system related security requirements for developing assessment & authorization (A&A) artifacts and supporting documentation to meet system information assurance (IA) reporting requirements.
  • Ensure A&A artifact reviews are conducted, coordinated, and documented in preparation for validation of security controls by a Security Control Assessor (SCA).
  • Conduct risk impact assessment(s) of upcoming software releases.
  • Review and interpret vulnerabilities from Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scans and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) results.
  • Coordinate mitigation strategies with respective team members.
  • Interact with functional systems administrators (FSAs) and database administrators (DBAs) to conduct research for the mitigation of security vulnerabilities.
  • Assist the Program Manager (PM) with monthly Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) updates.
  • Provide other A&A and cybersecurity support to meet RMF for DoD requirements as needed.
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II compliant (see https://public.cyber.mil/wid/dod8140/dod-approved-8570-baseline-certifications/).
  • Holds a successfully completed in-scope NACI, NACLC, T1, or higher background investigation or is eligible for an interim public trust while undergoing a new NACI, NACLC, T1, or higher background investigation.
  • Experience working with Information System Security Managers (ISSMs) and PMs providing IA guidance.
  • 2-4 years of experience working with RMF for DoD.
  • Ability to provide support and reporting requirements to clients and IA support staff as necessary.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Experience working with Security Test & Evaluations (STEs).
  • Experience performing continuous monitoring assessments.
  • Experience with the USAF Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system.
  • Knowledge and experience with coordination and processing of tasks related to A&A.
  • 2 or 4-year degree.
  • Current CAP, CASP, CISM or other DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II certification.

  • Effectively communicate with customers, stakeholders, and technical specialists.
