Weare seeking to hire multiple Accountants to join our growing practice withstart dates available in January 2025, June 2025 or October 2025. These arefull-time positions with our organization based in either Rochester or Ithaca,NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Working on engagements primarily in Audit, but potential exposure to Tax or Outsourced Accounting based on individual interest.

·Becoming familiarwith the firm's policies, procedures, and technical resources.

·Assisting team inconducting audits, reviews, compilations, and other assigned tasks.

·Preparingassigned financial statements as needed.

·Supporting theSenior/Manager through maintaining a good working relationship with clientpersonnel and other team members and demonstrating an awareness of the client'sbusiness.

·Promptlyinforming the appropriate person of any difficulties that you may experiencewith an assignment/task that could affect our scheduled deadlines.

·Bringing issuesfor inclusion in the letter of representation or management letter to theappropriate Engagement Manager.

·Performing andrecording all work in compliance with our firm policies.

·Developing anunderstanding of the standards of the profession and progress toward passingthe CPA exam.

·Assisting in administrativefunctions, practice development, and practice management as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifiedcandidatesshouldhaveexcellentcommunicationskills,self-confidence,andbeself-motivatedandcapableofworkingproductivelyinaprofessionalenvironment.Mustbeconscientious,detailed-orientedandhaveexcellentorganizationalskills.Bachelor’s degreeinAccountingwitheither150credithoursorMBA/Master’sdegree. Basicknowledge of spreadsheet and databaseapplications is required; experiencewith financial/accounting software applications is a plus. Internship assignments involving auditing or taxpreparation experience is also a plus.

SalaryRange: $57,000 – $64,000

The above range is areasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position. Actualcompensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited toskills, experience, qualifications, and/or education and geographic location. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the rangefor their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the capabilities andexperience of the candidate. You may also become eligible to receivediscretionary spot bonus incentives. Incentives, if any, depend on variousfactors, including, without limitation, individual and firm performance.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Accounting w/150 credit hours and CPA eligibility required. Staff Accountants normally have 0-24 months’ accounting experience (or equivalent experience as deemed appropriate by the firm).
