POSITION TITLE: Technical Support Representative

POSITION REPORTS TO: Technical/Field Services Supervisor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLILITIES:

• Provide positive problem solving over the phone with customers to answer technical and applications questions related to Inovonics Radio Frequency Wireless products.
• Document phone calls in customer database; communicate with internal departments on specific calls or issues as appropriate.
• Respond to inbound customer technical and application questions via email, website, etc.
• Perform product launch testing in preparation for release to market.
• Complete technical support projects, as requested.
• Document and communicate customer feedback on quality issues.
• Occasional travel to customer locations for office and field training, as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent communication skills over the phone and in presentation format, with the ability to speak on a business and technical level.
• Minimum 1 year of technical support or customer service experience in a technical electronics business environment, electronics experience desired.
• Proven success in interfacing with clients in trouble-shooting technical issues, with a positive approach to problem resolution
• PC literacy from a user perspective, basic understanding of the Microsoft Office suite
• The ability to work on projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Electronics background desired; RF electronics experience a plus.
• Hardware troubleshooting experience desired.
• Self-motivated to continuously learn new technology and improve support skills.
• Collaborative work style.
• Training experience a plus.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Education beyond HS or equivalent relevant work experience
