RN Transporter

Inova Health System’s Fairfax Hospital is looking for a RN Transporter to join our Team. This role is full-time days; 3-12s - 2 transport shift within IFMC & 1 in the ICU (self-scheduling).

Responsibilities: 

• The RN Transporter ensures patient safety by following standard processes, maintaining equipment and escalating issues when appropriate. 
• Keeps patients, families and hospital staff informed of care needs. 
• Provides safe, timely, and appropriate intra-hospital monitored transport for adult patients.

Requirements:

• Hours: full-time days; 3-12s - 2 transport shift within IFMC & 1 in the ICU (self-scheduling)
• Location: Inova Fairfax Medical Campus
• Education: BSN or AD (if AD, must complete BSN within 24 months of hire)
• Experience: At least two – four years of Registered Nurse, clinical and critical care experience with recent acute care setting experience
• Licensure/Certifications: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse; BLS for Healthcare Provider certification and ACLS required from the American Heart Association
