The Behavioral Health Outpatient Medication Clinic is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse.
Type: Part-TimeWorking Hours: Two days per week, from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm
The Behavioral Health Outpatient Medication Clinic is a dedicated healthcare facility specializing in the treatment of individuals with Substance Use Disorders and Psychiatric Disorders. Our mission is to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients, promoting recovery, well-being, and improved quality of life. We are currently seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our team.
The Registered Nurse Outpatient provides safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way in a physician practice or other outpatient setting. Incorporates differences into the provision of care while integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families to include patient and family education. Achieves desired patient outcomes by using an integrated approach. Incorporates data and information to improve care and enhances outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice settings. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice & Case Management: Provide safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic manner, primarily in an outpatient setting. Embrace diversity in care provision and integrate knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the unique needs of patients and their families. Engage in patient and family education.
Assessment and Medication Administration: Perform thorough assessments on each patient served in the Medication Assisted Treatment clinic. Administer intramuscular (IM) medication to individuals diagnosed with Substance Use Disorders and Psychiatric Disorders. Perform pill counts for controlled substances for patients enrolled in the CATS program.
Teamwork: Effectively communicate and collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals and support staff. Show respect and understanding for various clinical disciplines, fostering a cohesive and integrated approach to patient care.
Quality/Best Practice: Adhere to established standards, guidelines, and care pathways for service delivery. Leverage data and information to continuously enhance care and improve patient outcomes.
Professional Development: Demonstrate a commitment to self-improvement through lifelong learning and development. Offer guidance and mentorship to colleagues regarding best practices. Exhibit leadership skills in decision-making and problem-solving.
