Pediatric nurses can float to all 6 children's units within the L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital. Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, Pediatric IMC, Pediatric Specialty Care Unit, Pediatric Oncology, Pediatric Medical Surgical Units. They are capable and trained to take care of high acuity patients and most advanced therapies. Going to a different unit everyday gives them the opportunity to serve different patient population, meet new people and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements:

• 1-year Pediatric RN experience required
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date
• BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required (AHA) American Heart Association
• RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
• Proficient in English, strong verbal, and written communication skills
