Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

The Registered Nurse Outpatient provides safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way in a physician practice or other outpatient setting. Incorporates differences into the provision of care while integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families to include patient and family education. Achieves desired patient outcomes by using an integrated approach. Incorporates data and information to improve care and enhances outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice settings. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor.
Responsibilities: As a member of our outpatient team, you will:

• Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to provide holistic care in an ambulatory setting.
• Support daily clinic operations, delivering direct patient care, and ensuring accurate medical documentation.
• Foster ongoing, supportive relationships with patients to encourage sustained engagement in care.
• Educate patients on medication regimens and adherence.
• Offer guidance on chronic disease management.
• Administer medications and coordinate medication pickups for patients.
• Demonstrate strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Triage patient calls and respond to requests promptly.
• Assume resource duties and mentor Medical Assistants (MAs).

Requirements
Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start

Licensure - Registered Nurse Upon Start Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment

Experience - 0 years of experience. 6 months of experience is preferred.

Education: Bachelors Degree Nursing BSN. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.

Other: - Communication / Speaking / Writing Proficient in English. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills are required. Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
