*Inova Fairfax Hospital *and *Inova Alexandria Hospital *are looking for dedicated *Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses (RN) *to join the team.
_For expectant parents, all of our facilities at Inova Women's Center on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus offer spacious and beautifully decorated, private labor-delivery recovery rooms designed with your comfort in mind, yet fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology in case of unexpected complications. Our unit has 33 L&D beds and 6 C-Section ORs. Our nurse to patient ratio is 1:2. Inova Fairfax Hospital performs over 10,000 births each year and is a leader in care for high risk pregnancies. Our nursing staff is made up of highly skilled clinicians with experience in obstetric care. In-house anesthesiologists and neonatologists/pediatricians are available 24 hours a day._
_Inova Alexandria Labor and Delivery is a 13-bed unit, complimented by 3 operating suites, 4 PACU beds, and 4 Clinical Decision beds. Approximately, 3,600 deliveries take place each year, including deliveries for high-risk obstetric patients. In our Clinical Decision Unit (Labor and Delivery Triage), we can care for as many as 450 patients a month. The L&D Unit delivers approximately 10 to 15 babies each day._

*Job Responsibilities:*
* Provides knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team. Additional Requirements:
* *Education*: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
* *Experience*: A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. 1 full year or more of Labor and Delivery experience is strongly preferred.
* *Certification*: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start
