The Physical Therapist 1 selects evaluations and treatment methods appropriate for the patient's diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans. Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols. Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.

Inova Health System is looking for a Physical Therapist to join our IPTC (Inova Physical Therapy Centers) team of supporting our outpatient locations at Fair Oaks and Chantilly. This would be 2 days in Chantilly office and 3 days at Fair Oaks. This role will work full-time, Monday-Friday with two evenings until 8pm each week. The ideal candidate will have experience/interest in working with Cancer Rehab/Lymphedema treatment

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate the essential skills in the use of treatment modalities, equipment and protocols and will perform reassessments according to state and facility guidelines, adjusting treatment plan accordingly.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
• Adhere to department policy regarding time frame, appropriate form and content of written rehabilitation documentation
• Complete all administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.

Requirements:

• While one year experience in a Physical Therapy setting is desired, we will accept entry level physical therapists.
• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
• Virginia Physical Therapist license in good standing
• Must also have BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association upon start.
