Innsoft is Hiring an IT Support Near Beaverton, OR

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support professional to join our team, one who lives in the Portland Metro and can commute to our Beaverton, OR office daily as needed.

The IT Support Tech assists our System Administrator in all things technology related, as needed. The System Administrator is responsible for the proper functioning of various operating systems, servers, and other devices within the organization to ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, this role will include assisting with website development and implementation for our clients (we are a GoDaddy reseller) and our company website. This position works closely with all our employees, including Tech Support, Sales, Development, and Management. You will be the point person in most all cases.

The tech stack is a combination of AWS Linux Lightsail, Windows Server and desktop, Fortigate firewalls, WHM/CPanel, Wordpress, Digium Switchvox PBX/VOIP, and Microsoft 365 products. We also use Slack, Jira, Monday.com, and HIBOB.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist our System Administrator in supporting all our company IT resources, including (but not limited to):
  • >Windows OS
  • >Standard hardware, including servers and laptops
  • >VPNs and Firewalls
  • >Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Azure, and Office products)
  • >Internal CRM and Database
  • >VOIP services
  • Provide support to all employees for all IT-related needs.
  • Create client websites from templates and continued support in the form of minor change requests.
  • Work with our parent company’s IT support team.
  • Assist our product support team in finding solutions to various identified issues.
  • Provide end-user training.
  • Manage service requests and incident tickets.
  • Assist with quality assurance and testing of our software and products.
  • Future duties may be expanded as the business requires.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Broad expertise in enterprise IT Systems (OS, network architecture, databases) and server performance.
  • Experience with software installation, deployment, upgrade, migration, security, and troubleshooting are required.
  • Minimum of one (1) years’ experience working with System Support / Administration and implementations.
  • Associate degree in computer science and/or certifications in related IT fields required.

Knowledge, skills & competencies:

  • Understand and process requirements, transforming them into actionable configuration changes within the system
  • Possess sound problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.
  • Ability to think strategically and evaluate options in the short, medium, and long term.
  • Understand a project’s lifecycle, and be able to work within the identified scope of a project
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills to work with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users, including clients
  • Self-motivated and work independently without supervision. Excellent time-management skills are indispensable.
  • Ability to contribute to planning and support processes.
  • Adhering to industry and company best practices.
  • Knowledge of HTML & CSS preferred.
  • Coding knowledge and practical experience preferred

Please note that this position will require a component of on-call duties and may require working outside of normal working hours.
