Applicant qualifications and abilities:

Valid California OT license
Pediatric experience preferred
A playful therapy approach with a passion for working with children
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills, self-initiative and desire for continued learning
A family-centered, collaborative approach to intervention
Ability to review and revise IEP and 504 goals / objective’s along with implementation of revisions.
Ability to attend school and or out of clinic functions for observation, input or treatment
Devising, implementing and revising relevant treatment programs.
Implementing treatment programs and training to parents / professionals in therapy delivery.
Assessing communication environments.
Monitoring and evaluating clients’ progress.
Working with clients on a one-to-one basis to deliver therapy.
Working with clients in a group setting or in specialized programs to deliver therapy.
Writing and maintaining confidential client case notes and reports, as well as information for clients and other professionals.
Managing a caseload taking account of priority cases, waiting lists, successful outcomes, referral and discharge of service users.
Working with others to improve the effectiveness of service delivery.
Supporting/supervising newly qualified occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants.
Setting organizational and personal objectives.
Planning and delivering training sessions.
Contributing to the implementation and evaluation of projects and developments.
Participating in research projects
Experience in Sensory Integration
Experience in Feeding / Swallowing therapy
