Description

Registered Dietitian

Registered Dietitians build trusting relationships with patients and their families and utilize dietary education and planning to directly affect their patients' quality of life. Responsibilities include completing patient assessments, creating patient specific nutritional plans, and providing ongoing nutritional support. The qualified candidate must be registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration. Applicant must also have current licensure in the state or at least one year of clinical nutrition experience. Experience with ESRD patient preferred.

Required Education and Experience

  • Registered by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics on the Commission of Dietetics Registry.
  • Current state licensure (if required by the state).
  • Meets all applicable state/licensing requirements.
  • Minimum of 1-year professional work experience in clinical nutrition as a registered dietitian (after becoming a registered dietitian).
  • Preferably a member of the American Dietetic Association.
  • Previous experience in nutrition associated with the ESRD patient preferred.
  • Is responsible for maintaining registration and continuing education hours as specified by the American Dietetic Association.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with clients and fellow employees.
