JOB SUMMARY

A position currently exists for a working Shipping Coordinator to be actively involved in the daily shipping activities of the company in the shipment of tools and machines. This resource will be involved in coordinating domestic and international shipments with vendors and customers, packaging of product, and using the company’s ERP system to ship product in the system to generate packing lists which accurately reflects the product being shipped.

Responsibilities include:

· Directly involved in daily outgoing shipping department activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and conditions of shipments;

· Communicates with Internal Customer Support Team in the coordination of customer product shipment;

· Communicates with logistic vendors (UPS, Fed EX, various LTL shipment vendors) to obtain quotes to ensure the lowest price for shipments while meeting quality and timely shipment requirements;

· Uses the company’s ERP computer system to ship product through the system, generates shipment packing lists, posts accurate weights and shipping charges;

· Responsible for packaging product to insure the product arrives to customers without damage;

· Prepares Bills of Lading and related custom documents for international shipments;

· Process claims for lost and or damaged shipments;

· Shipping vendor supplied product back to vendors for credit when warranted;

· Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations; and

· Additional duties as assigned by manager

COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Strong communication skills and able to communicate verbally and in writing with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Hands on mechanical assembly skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; word, excel and e mail.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Candidate must have a High School diploma.
• Candidates must have a minimum 5 years Shipping department experience and familiar with using ERP computer systems for shipping product.
• Candidates with International shipping experience preferred.

WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS

Manufacturing Shop Floor and Office Environment, Standing, and Walking. Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
