Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Department Leader to join our team. Employee will be in a leadership role within the manufacturing team, and responsible for the organization and function of a specific department assigned to them. Employees will also be in the direct line of manufacturing, working with power, pneumatic, and hand tools as needed to complete work.

Duties:
· Assess daily workloads of team to ensure efficient workflow.

· Notify your direct supervisor of any irregularities during the scheduled workday.

· Ensure employees are on-track and complete jobs listed on the daily workflow.

· Assist supervisor with ensuring completion and reviewing orders as they are finished.

· Communicate with supervisor if deadlines will not be met when issues arise.

· Keep a thorough and up-to-date inventory of items in the department.

· Organization of department – Keep a neat and organized workspace

· When required, will assist with assembly of products and train department members on proper use of tools and equipment to build assemblies efficiently.

· Assembly of parts and fabricated components into complete assemblies, usually after paint or spray coating has been applied. Employees will be responsible for building assemblies from drawings and bill of materials and gathering all the required resources to complete the order.

· Utilizing work orders, responsible for organizing orders onto pallets, prep for shipping.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in assembly or related field required (Min 5 years)

- Previous experience in a Management/Leadership/Supervisory role required (Min 3 years)
- Mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints and follow assembly instructions
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- Experience operating a forklift is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

-Valid drivers license required

- Ability to lift up to 50lbs along with squatting, bending and other physical abilities in order to be able to complete the job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
