Position Summary
The Contracts Specialist IV will perform contract-related activities for Innoflight. This position will review complex engineering contracts with various company customers along with other agreements, such as consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), licensing agreements, memorandums of understanding, as well as teaming and service agreements. This role is within the Contracts department and works closely with both the Business Development department, Program Management and Supply Chain.
The ideal candidate will need to have an editor’s eye and a good handle on the English language. Specifically, this candidate will review and revise subcontracts and purchase orders, complex terms and conditions, flow downs, statements of work and other technical documents that are attached to a contract as exhibits.Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:- Draft, negotiate (with support from others), administer, and manage contracts that are aligned with business objectives and stakeholder needs; perform administrative duties related to securing/modifying contracts including, but not limited to:
- Prepare forms pre-contract and post-contract award to remain in compliance (as requested by customers) including coordinating responses from other departments (Quality Assurance, Information Technology, Security, etc.);
- Review and revise a diverse array of contracts and prepare redlines of same (being able to back up any position you may take related);
- Draft contract sections, as necessary;
- Draft contract summaries and accounting details;
- Save documents in M-Files platform and create document collections for each contract once signed.
- Draft and negotiate subcontracts/purchase orders (purchase orders are issued by Supply Chain non-disclosure agreements, license agreements, teaming agreements, etc.) with support from others.
- Input data on contract deliverables.
- Be super organized and ready on the spot.
- Have a positive attitude being part of a TEAM, valuing collaboration.
- Organize and manage all contractual documents; ensure the organization’s internal contract documents are accurate, maintained and adhered to.
- Draft handover presentations for Program Management/Engineering detailing contracts content, once secured.
- Document and track contract deliverables.
- Work with Program Managers on contract interpretation.
- Multi-task and prioritize work activities in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
- Develop, implement, and enforce core contract management processes for request, execution and filing of agreements.
- Continuously improve and draft original language for standard templates, standard work, and internal policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Administration or related field is required; Juris Doctor or equivalent preferred.
- 10 to 12 years of contracts experience required. USG Dept. of Defense contracts experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong business acumen and positive “can-do” attitude.
- FAR, DFAR, ITAR and EAR knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required prolonged periods in stationary position at a desk entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to move, position self, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally transport up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers, far visual acuity, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Salary Range$125,000-$150,000 per year
However, Innoflight considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills. Employees may be eligible for profit sharing and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
