Anticipated Close Date: May 3, 2024

General Duties (includes but not limited to):

  • Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, and preventative maintenance tasks on injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and support systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance activities according to maintenance schedules and manufacturer recommendations to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic issues, and implement corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.
  • Repair or replace defective components, parts, or assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment as necessary.
  • Assist with equipment setup, installation, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Calibrate equipment settings, parameters, and sensors to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with production requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment histories.
  • Document repairs, parts replacements, and maintenance procedures to track equipment performance and compliance with maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with production personnel, engineering teams, and maintenance supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks, address equipment downtime, and minimize production disruptions.
  • Communicate equipment status, maintenance needs, and repair recommendations effectively to stakeholders across the organization.

Physical Requirements:

  • Is expected to sit, walk, or stand for 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally, be able to hear, and have clear and corrected vision for tasks that involve reading, writing, and working with small details.
  • Have physical agility for tasks that involve bending, kneeling, or reaching.
  • Have precise hand-eye coordination for tasks that involve handling small objects, tools, or machinery.
  • Must be able to lift/move 30-50 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary education or technical training in mechanical or electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a manufacturing environment with injection molding equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with machinery and equipment.
  • Proficiency in mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics that are commonly found in injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
  • Understanding of safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance with regulatory requirements governing equipment maintenance and operation in medical device manufacturing.
  • Experience in adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Certifications (preferred):

  • Certified Maintenance Technician (CMT)
  • Certified Production Technician (CPT)
  • Certificates in electrical safety such as NFPA 70E (Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace)

Skills:

  • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to maintain healthy working relationships.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
  • Strong time management skills and can work with multiple deadlines and commitments with little to no supervision.
  • Detail oriented and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to perform simple math such as addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, measuring and decimal points.
  • Leadership and initiative skills
  • Must have strong desire to promote efficiency and continual improvement processes.
  • Adequate project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem solving and strategic planning abilities.
  • Advanced design skills
  • Product-focused creative thinking

Benefits:

Immediately Upon Hire

  • 401K Retirement Plan- Employees are eligible to start contributing to Injectech’s 401K retirement plan the 1st of the month after hire date. Injectech match’s contributions up 6% of employee’s salary. 100% full invested immediately. Roth and Traditional options available.
  • Health Insurance- Health insurance starts the 1st of the month after employment of 30 days. Injectech pays 100% of the employee’s portion. Employees will have the option to enroll their spouse, domestic partner, and dependents, that cost will be passed on to the employee through pre-tax payroll deductions.
  • Dental, Vision and Supplemental Insurance Plans- These plans are offered at a group discount rate to all employees and their spouse, domestic partner, and any dependents.
  • Employee Assistance Program- The EAP is available to all employees and family members. 30 Days after Hire Date
  • Sick Time- accrues 1 hour for every 30 hours you work up to 48 hours per year.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)- accrues 6.66 hours per month for maximum of 80 hours per year. At 36 months accrual rate is 8 hours per month for maximum of 96 hours a year. Accrual rates continue to increase.
  • Holiday Pay- 8 paid holidays.
  • Birthday Floating Holiday- Take your birthday off paid!
  • Voluntary Paid Time Off (VTO)- 20 hours paid to volunteer at any 501(c)(3) Nonprofit.
  • Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance- Injectech fully pays for $50,000 policy for all employees. Additional Life Insurance is offered at the employee’s expense.

6 Months After Hire Date

  • Profit Share Program- Employees are eligible for our profit share program the month following 6 full months of employment.
