Primary Function Manage and execute corporate strategic financial project reviews; the development of the strategic financial forecast for the company; the preparation of M&A valuation analysis and presentations; the development of investor relations analysis and presentations; the review of opportunities to enhance shareholder value; prepare ad hoc requests, and corporate financial planning as necessary. Supervision: One direct report: Sr. Analyst Strategic Planning (TBC) Key Deliverables: Lead detailed compilation and development of 5-year global strategic financial plan, including strategic deployment of cash Support the preparation of corporate acquisition valuation models and prepare/review regional models Support development of investor relations presentations, including CAGNY and Analyst Day Lead strategic financial project reviews for CFO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors Establish and maintain company WACC, ROIC, and valuation standard methodology Provide support for ad-hoc multi-segment projects, as needed Develop collaborative and influential relationships with the CFO, Corporate Strategy team, and Investor Relations team Develop credibility and build partnerships with key contacts within the Corporate Finance team, segment finance teams, and segment strategy teams Assist with corporate financial planning and analysis as necessary, including, but not limited to supporting results reporting, quarterly earnings package, and board of directors presentations Supervise, coach, train and mentor department staff in order to develop knowledgeable and skilled strategic financial personnel Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA/CPA preferred Must have 7 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, valuation, forecasting, strategy, accounting, or auditing Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing multiple work streams simultaneously Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner Must be able to analyze financial results and assess financial/strategic impacts of business decisions. Must be proficient in discounted cash flow modeling and valuation methodologies Must have a strong grasp of income sheet, balance sheet, and cash flow financial statements interactions Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; SAP BW, BPC, Bloomberg, and Capital IQ is desirable Knowledge of Food Ingredients or Corn Wet Milling industry (competition, business climate, manufacturing processes), a plus Desired behaviors & experiences: Business and Strategic Acumen - Deep understanding of value drivers of the organization and external factors impacting the business and industry; Synthesizes company’s business model, structure, and strategic framework to identify opportunities and/or strategic pivots to create competitive edge Financial Statement Acumen – Conducts complex analysis of all company, competitor, acquisition target, and sell-side analyst financial statements results and projections Investment Analysis - Demonstrates financial modeling expertise to evaluate investments and provide sensitivity analysis, can identify risks and opportunities, as well as connect investments to company strategic blueprint, competitive landscape, and external company commitments Drive for Results – Demonstrates ownership, continual drive to exceed personal and organizational results, steadfastly pushes self and others Problem Solving - Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions Peer Relationships - Can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all; seen as a team player and easily gains trust and support of peers; encourages collaboration and business partnering Planning - Accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; sets objectives and goals; anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks Drive Customer focus – Create trusted partnerships with customers by sharing insights and engaging them in joint strategic planning and problem solving; Is dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; anticipates customer impacts when establishing priorities and making decisions Build Great Talent – Actively invest in the development of all direct reports and team members in the Corporate finance department; tailor developmental opportunities to the needs of the individual and the organization; give prompt, honest, direct and actionable feedback and coaching; take full accountability for building a strong, diverse, high performance team Relocation Available?
