Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled DataStage Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes using IBM InfoSphere DataStage. As a DataStage Developer, you will be responsible for extracting data from various sources, transforming it according to business requirements, and loading it into target databases or data warehouses. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand data integration needs and deliver robust solutions that meet business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop ETL jobs using IBM InfoSphere DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from disparate sources into target systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and error handling mechanisms to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data.
• Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability, utilizing parallel processing and other optimization techniques.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with ETL jobs, ensuring smooth operation of data integration processes in production environments.
• Document ETL job designs, data mappings, and technical specifications to maintain comprehensive documentation for reference and future enhancements.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data integration and ETL development.
• Provide support and assistance to other team members, including data analysts, database administrators, and business stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a DataStage Developer or similar role, with expertise in designing and developing ETL processes using IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and software development methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data integration issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation and data manipulation tasks.
• Certification in IBM InfoSphere DataStage or related technologies.
