Summary

The Manufacturing Site Manager plays a critical role in strategic planning, policy adherence, and efficient communication flow within the production environment. This position requires strong leadership skills to craft realistic project plans, delegate responsibilities effectively, and maximize the team's potential.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all manufacturing operations to ensure streamlined processes, high-quality outputs, and attainment of production targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the Quality Director to establish, maintain, and enhance a quality-driven culture across the manufacturing organization.
  • Plan and execute manufacturing and service deliverables in alignment with orders and forecasts, proactively addressing any deviations to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Work alongside the Supply Chain Team to maintain optimal inventory levels and manage direct labor hours and engineering support costs effectively.
  • Manage personnel and testing activities within the quality lab to uphold product standards and compliance requirements.
  • · Drive process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, implementing lean methodologies and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including NPI and Supply Chain, to introduce new products efficiently, meeting designated timelines and delivery expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, liaising with relevant authorities when necessary.
  • Monitor KPIS to evaluate manufacturing performance, identify areas for enhancement, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the production team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in manufacturing and leadership will be preferred.

· Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is a plus

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.

· Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Black Belt certification preferred.

· Comprehensive understanding of advanced manufacturing methods, systems, and best practices.

· Experience interfacing with city, police, fire, labor department, PG&E, water, and gas authorities for regulatory compliance and operational requirements.

· Experience in production scheduling / planning

With ability to handle Customer visit center capability management
