InfuCare Rx is a leading home infusion provider accredited by TJC, URAC and ACHC offering a specialized approach to caring for patients in need of IV therapy and specialty pharmacy services in the homecare setting. We have created an ethical, team oriented, and quality work environment for our employees that cultivates 

 Pharmacy Supervisor reports to the Pharmacist In Charge. His/her role is to ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for InfuCare Rx’s; compounds and dispenses prescribed medications; provides functional supervision of professional, paraprofessional, and support staff; and performs related duties as required. Future responsibilities may include Infusion services, sterile preparations, and compounding. To provide support to InfuCare Rx business by compiling data for departments to help them complete their missions.

 General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains records of all transactions of the pharmacy necessary to ensure accurate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations; ensures legal operation of the pharmacy, including meeting all inspection and other requirements of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing pharmacy operations. 
  • Maintains accurate and detailed records of all prescription transactions and submits appropriate claims for third-party reimbursement; consults with physicians and nurses regarding pharmaceutical questions; advises physicians on formulary medications and cost-effective and innovative therapies; answers pharmaceutical questions from patients and staff; monitors storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals. 
  • Dedicates 10% of his/her overall responsibilities to the Quality Management Committee. The Pharmacy Supervisor provides data, establishes projects to improve outcomes and review progress based on results. Performs monthly random audits of prescriptions to assure accuracy. Evaluate data, review progress based on results.
  • Will provide functional supervision to professional, paraprofessional, and support staff in their respective pharmacy, including training, assigning duties, and providing input for performance evaluations. 
  • Documents and reports medication errors to direct supervisor. Facilitates error reduction and prevention methods based off errors and ISMP standards. 
  • Will act in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and with the highest ethical standards that we consistently strive to achieve. Legal and ethical compliance is an essential duty of each employee. 
  • Quality reporting 
  • Active participant in the Performance Improvement Committee.
  • Support, develop and maintain DUR programs. 
  • Pharmacy Claims Data Analysis 
  • Responsible for claims benefit investigation and processing. 
  • Oversee pharmacists and technicians.
  • Have the ability to organize and prioritize.
  • Serves and protects the Pharmacy by adhering to professional standards, company policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and URAC/TJC/ACHC standard of care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education/Skills/Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with a PharmBS/PharmD from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of Pharmacy Management experience.
  • Highly proficient in computer skills and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). 
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and resource management skills.
  • A problem solver, proven leadership experience, ability to translate broad goals into achievable steps, must deal effectively with people.
  • Ability to manage complex and changing calendars. 
  • Ability to interact effectively and courteously with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and meet established or anticipated deadlines.
  • Ability to take on a wide range of duties and projects and prioritize appropriately. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed.
  • Create a safe, effective environment and professionalism.

Physical Demands:

Required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment; must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; specific vision requirements for this job include: close, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position without compromising patient care.
