- Leads design discussions and carry design concept through to project drawings.
- Performs Healthcare Planning/Design Management.
- Provide technical guidance and quality oversight, including code review.
- Develop feasibility studies, including identifying code deficiencies and recommendations for specific projects.
- Designs systems for construction drawings that include floor plans, riser diagrams, control schematics, details, schedules, and sections.
- Performs related calculations.
- Selects equipment.
- Coordinates with other engineering and architectural trades during design.
- Develops construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Write project specific specifications.
- Participates in developing project details, equipment schedules and specifications.
- Contributes to sustainable design discussions and implements sustainable strategies as appropriate to the project scope.
- Administers construction administration including conformance to contract documents and solves problems.
- Responds to project questions and concerns in a timely and thorough manner.
- Research and assess applicable project codes and other regulations. Conduct other important engineering research, as necessary.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is desired.
- Working knowledge of REVIT is required.
- Strong understanding of healthcare-specific codes and standards.
- Healthcare market experience required.
