Sr. Manual QA Consultant - Required Technical Skills - MUST HAVES:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
  • Experience with automated testing tools
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
Manual QA Consultant - Job Description/Responsibilities:
  • Define and document detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test strategies, plans and test cases using a maturity level framework supporting QA best practices, and procedures ensuring alignment with business defined acceptance criteria understanding the parameters for evaluation.
  • Define and coordinate release management for software releases to ensure release notes are published, systems are versioned, smoke tested are successful, functional and release plans are in place including rollback plans if required.
  • Demonstrate a strong emphasis on exploration, discovery and communication of software defects.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities assisting offshore team in packaging functionality for optimized test execution aligned to overall project milestones.
  • Review requirements, specifications and / or technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Creates and presents the project quality highlights to all project stakeholders.
  • Provide test estimates, manual and provided ongoing project management support.
  • Design and documents Test Strategy for testing to identify out-of-bounds and possible customer impacting concerns.
  • Track, report defects and collect metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts, based on overall testing statistics while developing, documenting and distributing daily/weekly testing status, test metrics and KPIs ensuring that QA sanity and smoke tests are performed as planned.
  • Assist in the creation and management of script repositories used to gather test data and validate test results.
  • Design, develop and maintain test scripts for various components for client projects including user interfaces and APIs.
  • Support troubleshooting defects for client's IT Team, and or 3rd party partners tracking information via log data, database data, errors and exceptions, etc.
  • Perform acceptance and thorough regression testing and API integrations.
  • Track and test outputs and works effectively in an Agile project environment.
  • Facilitate defect triage meetings, requirements grooming to prioritize bugs with business stakeholders.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs with recreation steps are well documented.
  • Design, develop and execute manual scripts using provided tools.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing functionality or web page components.
