Job Title: Dispatcher

Job Location: Portland, OR

Pay Rate: $25.00/hr [Weekly Pay]

Shift Timings: 07:00 AM to 04:00 PM [Monday to Friday]

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:

The Customer Service Dispatcher schedules equipment and dispatch drivers for movement of materials. Support sales in requesting and compiling pricing and distributing load pickups to various contracted haulers. Duties may include using radio, telephone, and computer to transmit assignments and compiling statistics and reports on work progress.

  • Dispatching and scheduling multiple truck routes efficiently, while maximizing customer needs.
  • Documenting information correctly, data entry, file management.
  • Answering phones, and returning emails on time, in a professional manner
  • Schedule and dispatch drivers and equipment to appropriate locations according to customer requests, route specifications and plant needs using route sheets and telephones.
  • Communicate with maintenance and arrange for necessary repairs in order to maintain equipment.
  • Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from drivers and supervisors using telephones or two-way radios.
  • Confer with customers, supervising personnel, and sales in order to address questions, problems, and requests for service and equipment.
  • Prepare daily work and run/route schedules.
  • Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, or services performed.
  • Order supplies and equipment and issue them to personnel as needed.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
