Job Title - Sterile Tech
Location - Scranton, PA 18510
Facility Name - Geisinger Community Medical Center
Shift - 2:30pm-11:00pm
Hours per week - 40 hours
Duration - 13 Weeks Contract
Certification Required- CRCST/CBSPD, BLS (AHA) and COVID Card
Experince - 2 year as Sterile Tech
Responsibilities:
- Collecting used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination.
- Manually cleaning supplies of contaminants, removing waste matter, and operating and maintaining decontamination equipment.
- Preparing and packing decontaminated supplies for sterilization.
- Monitoring and operating sterilization equipment.
- Examining supplies meticulously to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Testing and reporting any issues or problems with the sterilization equipment.
- Sterilizing, preparing, wrapping, and organizing equipment into instrument trays for use during medical procedures.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Sterile processing: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Required)
- CRCST (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Scranton, PA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Work Location: On the road
