We are looking for a Staff Project Manager Business Operations to join our Product Operations team in Tacoma, WA or Santa Clara, CA reporting to the director of Product Operations. In this hybrid role, you will create an empowering and agile environment in which product managers can succeed. You will focus on work that is high value, such as reducing waste, friction, and bottlenecks that stand in the way of product managers doing their best work. You will also coordinate the work of others through process creation and project management and be able to lead informally, communicate, and organize effectively.

You are the ideal candidate if you have a high degree of emotional intelligence and are adept at understanding and responding to the needs of both individuals and the collective team. You are a good communicator with excellent people skills.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage all business operations for the Product organization, including the creation and monitoring of objectives and key results (OKRs)
  • Lead the rhythm of the business (ROB), overseeing key aspects, such as our monthly all-employee meeting, Quarterly Business Review, and annual all-employee in-person meeting
  • Support initiatives focused on employee morale and diversity and inclusion, fostering an open and productive culture
  • Oversee Product org new hire training and orientation
  • Manage margins to ensure progress against goals
  • Maintain the ongoing Product management training
  • Be responsible for customer programs, including the Customer Advisory Board (CAB), Technical Advisory Boards (TAB), Early Access program (EAP), and User Experience Group (UXG)
  • Cover for other Product Operations team members during vacations or when someone is out sick

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 12 years of project management experience, with a demonstrated ability to develop and monitor project schedules, understand and connect diverse systems and processes, and effectively collaborate in cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding tech savvy process creation with a flexible approach to empower members of the Product team 
  • Excellent writing and communication skills to create formal communication streams, such as newsletters and customer communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar studies, or HS diploma/GED 4 additional years of experience beyond the original required amount 

What success looks like:

After six months, you will… 

  • Have built strong relationships with Product leadership 
  • Be recognized as the go-to person for all things Business Operations
  • Improve the business margin
  • Enhance new hire training for quicker onboarding
  • Have full control over the ROB
  • Successfully host several customer program meetings via the CAB, TAB, EAP, and UXG

After about a year, you will…

  • Have transitioned manual processes to semi- or fully-automated processes
  • Be actively involved in cross-functional efforts for owned workstreams
  • Understand managing the margin
  • Establish relationships with customers who are members of CAB, TAB, EAP, and UXG

You can expect our employment offers to take many factors into consideration, including but not limited to the location of the role, internal equity, applicable past experience, individual skill set, education, and professional certifications. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned is the base salary range for the role. The typical base salary range for this position based in Washington is $115,000 - $173,360 plus corporate bonus potential. The typical base salary range for this position based in California is $120,600 - $180,000 plus corporate bonus potential.
