ABOUT THIS POSITION:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for working with highly functional development team automating service deployments; optimizing system performance; integrating with enterprise authentication services; establishing/improving system monitoring; maintaining established security protocols; provide customers technical support. The DevOps Engineer will be integrated with an agile environment participating with scrums and other meetings.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Conducts full range of cloud engineering, administrative and IT operational tasks to support the environments and meet business needs
    • Demonstrates experience building and supporting AWS infrastructure resources using CloudFormation and CodePipeline (preferably GitLab & Terraform)
    • Demonstrates experience creating and managing IAM users, groups, and access policies
    • Demonstrates experience integrating applications and services in a cloud environment
    • Implements and supports tools and automation for AWS infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, diagnostics, and scaling
    • Integrates applications and services in a cloud environment
    • Utilizing scripting languages such as Python for automation of tasks and operations
    • Use Amazon CloudWatch metrics and applicable monitoring platforms to monitor the health and utilization of AWS resources and applications
    • Maintains system lifecycle of responsible software or systems as part of System Support
    • Develops, documents, and performs approved system maintenance plans
Required Skills:
    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
    • Familiarity with DevOps development processes and Continuous Integration tools: GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus
    • Strong understanding of RHEL/CentOS Linux distributions
    • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services
    • Strong troubleshooting skills
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Team player who works well with customers and colleagues at all levels
    • Work effectively both independently and in a team environment
Desired Skills:
    • Knowledge of scripting languages (Primarily: Bash, Python, PowerShell)
    • Understanding of cloud APIs and interaction with the AWS/CLI
    • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt
Required Certifications:
    • DoD 8140/8570 IAT III compliance
Required Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
    • 5 years IT experience
    • 5 years experience with Platform as a Service Offerings (e.g. RedHat OpenShift, Tanzu, etc)
Required Clearance
    • Active DoD TS/SCI
