EBC is Hiring a Proposal Coordinator - Civil Construction Near Vancouver, WA

We are currently recruiting two Proposal Coordinators for our organization. One will be based in Vancouver, BC, and one will be based in Mississauga, ON.

The Proposal Coordinator position within EBC's proposal team is responsible for the coordination, development, organization, review, and finalization of compelling proposals and related work winning documents.
As a Proposal Coordinator, you are responsible for the development and submission of qualification and proposal responses, related documents and presentations. This includes:
1. Development of compliant, accurate, and compelling response narratives and graphics; and
2. Coordination and administration of proposal documents, schedules, kick-offs, reviews, document control, electronic and print submittals, and response data.
You are also responsible for leading and/or supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as boilerplate and resume development.
The successful candidate will be the lead and local Mississauga-based Proposal Support person, that works and coordinates with senior members of both the EBC national and local teams to provide support and consistency to our brand, image, submission documents and approach. 
Responsibilities include:
  • Develop, manage, and finalize RFP, RFQ, and RFI submissions;
  • Review requests (RFP, RFQ, RFI) and play a key role in determining document requirements;
  • Collaborate with business line management, business development, operations, and executive team to develop golden threads and win strategies, incorporating throughout proposal deliverables;
  • Conduct research to produce accurate and comprehensive proposal responses and messaging;
  • Provide initial go-by write-ups/materials, provide guidance and others as appropriate, identify known and potential issues with section responses;
  • Create and manage pursuit responsibility matrices defining roles, deadlines, and assignments;
  • Initiate and lead proposal meetings, including kickoffs, status updates, and reviews;
  • Follow-up/Check-in on submissions and ensure debriefing is scheduled and attended;
  • Finalize and submit proposal documents as appropriate;
  • Create compelling post-bid presentation materials;
  • Develop and maintain best practices and templates.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills;
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft office Suite and Adobe Acrobat;
  • Skills in collaborating with and interviewing executives, engineers, construction managers, legal, designers, and others to secure information for various writing assignments;
  • The ability to work within tight deadlines, in a constantly changing environment;
  • Solid research skills and ability to dive into the details to extract key information;
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and active listening;
  • The ability to manage multiple projects to consistently meet high standards and be attentive to quality.
