Infinity College is Hiring a Financial Aid Representative Near Lafayette, LA

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall administration of all student financial aid programs including federal, state, and private organizations. Insure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements for the following by working closely with third party consulting firm(ECM).
  • Title IV Federal Financial Aid programs including Pell Grants and campus based aid programs consisting of Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants and College Work Study.
  • Annual 1098-T forms-IRS and student/parent reporting
  • State financial aid programs
  • Assistant in completion of Free Applications for Federal Student Aid for Title IV federal financial aid
  • Collect, review and evaluate verification documentation for 100% of all Title IV federal financial aid recipients.
  • Complete financial aid transcripts and agency verification forms.
  • Complete Title IV federal financial aid annual reports for the USDE.
  • Complete federal student loan deferment forms and verify enrollment status.
  • Package, award, disburse and track all types of financial aid disbursements.
  • Prepare for local, state, and federal program compliance reviews and audits.
  • Establish and implement student payments policies
  • Track payments for student tuition, books, supplies, and fees.
  • Prepare student and agency billing.
  • Create and implement financial aid office policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the financial aid process computer software provided by USDE.
  • Monitor student's records for satisfactory progress.
  • Submit all course approval forms for Veterans Affairs.
  • Prepare annual student cost of attendance budget.
  • Submit appropriate documentation to determine special circumstances, dependency overrides and emergency leave of absence for students
  • Assist students/parents with FAFSA & Student loan applications
  • Entrance and exit counseling
  • Attend training, workshops, and seminars
  • Submit department and required state, federal, 3rdparty servicer, and accreditation reports
  • Participate in
  • Assist with the updating of the ECAR.
  • Assist with the completing of the IPEDS survey annually.
  • Submit past due student account balances to collection agency.
  • Proper maintenance and disposal of student's financial aid files
  • Follow-up with prospective students
  • Schedule appointments with prospective students
  • Timely request of all forms of funding for current students
  • Process applications received in a timely manner within set deadlines.
  • Implement new initiatives within the assigned program areas.
  • Prepare detailed reports relating to financial aid and assigned programs in compliance with the law.
  • Initiate and streamline processes within the set parameters to ensure that students' needs are met.
  • Participate in special projects and on student finance committees.
  • Get to know about the Roles, Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities of Financial Aid Officer.
  • Advice and counsel students and their parents on financial aid products that is available to them.
  • Resolve student inquiries relating to financial assistance products.
  • Guide students through the financial assistance process to meet their needs
  • Ensure a quick response through web, email, and telephone inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Written and verbal skills to communicate with a broad range of individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds. Motivated self-starter. Ability to work for long periods of time with many interruptions. Ability to learn and use many different software programs. Interpersonal and organizational skills. Mathematical ability and utilizations of spreadsheets and a calculator. Ability to learn all the rules and regulations for every different financial aid program and software program required. Ability to do multiple, totally unrelated, tasks simultaneously. Willingness and ability to perform any function or task. in the scope of one's authority, for the benefit and on behalf of a student, regardless of whose responsibility it is to do the job. Should possess a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of an Associate's degree or 2 years experience in the area of financial aid, finance, business or accounting.

Director /Assistant Director/Director of Education

Job Goals:

Provide assistance to all students enrolled at Infinity College and secure financial aid which will aid in their educational goals.

Terms of Employment:

Non-Contractual-Employment at Will

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29,120.00 - $45,000.00 per year
