Job Title: Resident Care Advocate
Department: Client Services
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
The Resident Care Advocate is responsible for the day to day operations pertaining to client care. Individuals in this position will uphold the core values of Infinite Recovery in an effort to meet the needs of clients within the continuum of care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as web-based email and EMR system.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

The Resident Care Advocate is responsible for the day to day operations pertaining to client care. Individuals in this position will uphold the core values of Infinite Recovery in an effort to meet the needs of clients within the continuum of care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Observe, direct and redirect clients
- Report on client behavior
- Be an example of a recovered man or woman
- Make sure clients are following resident guidelines as well as daily schedule
- Oversees and ensures the safety of clients
- Oversees incoming and outgoing mail
- Transports to meet client needs (meetings, appt’s, outings, etc.)
- Intake, discharge, and/or step downs of clients as it relates to operational procedure
- Monitors client behavior and report all specifics in daily documentation
- Checks email daily for any updates/concerns/instruction
- Monitors the preparation of meals and oversees safety practices when necessary
- Ensures the cleanliness of the client bedrooms, kitchen and common areas
- Awareness of client location at ALL times
- Relays pertinent information from your shift to the next
- Reports any problems with property to maintenance department
- Being an example of an individual in 12 step recovery
- Facilitates group and properly documents participation
