• Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity-related roles, with a proven track record of handling diverse responsibilities.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools like Tenable/Nessus, and familiarity with other tools such as Nmap, Wireshark, etc.
• Strong knowledge of endpoint protection technologies including AV/XDR, policy configuration, and endpoint agent management.
• Familiarity with SIEM solutions, logging, syslog, and alerting mechanisms.
• Proficient in Windows/Linux server administration, especially in the context of cybersecurity applications.
• Competency in IT infrastructure components commonly found in large organizations, including load balancers, LAN/WAN, firewalls, email systems, GPOs, etc.
• Experience with incident response, threat hunting, penetration testing, and vulnerability management, following industry standards like CIS benchmarks, NIST frameworks, MITRE ATT&CK Matrix, etc.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, given the need for effective collaboration and clear articulation of technical concepts and findings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools is a plus.
• Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of query languages like XQL, and scripting languages like Python and PowerShell.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc., would be advantageous.
