Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Assignment Length: 13 weeks with possible extension
Location: Newton, MA
Shift: Day Shift (8:00am - 16:30pm)
Local Pay Rate: $76/hour
Travel Gross weekly Pay rate: $3,060/week (with $1,659 non taxed)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of radiographic procedures and duties, under the direction of a qualified physician and clinical supervisor, using prescribed levels of ionizing radiation.
• Performs all activities according to Federal, State, local and hospital policies and procedures to a variety of patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric in age.
• Operates imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.
• Able to instruct patients in BSE.
• Performs daily quality control of equipment.
• Reports any malfunction to appropriate supervisor.
• Prepares rooms for procedures.
• Works with centralized scheduling, inpatient units and physicians offices to coordinate and/or assist in scheduling of patient exams.
• Transports patients and helps with lifting of patients as needed.
• Chooses appropriate film, cassettes, radiation protection, and exposure parameters to produce quality images.
• Performs imaging exams on inpatient and outpatient, adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations.
• Perform other job duties as needed or assigned by the client.

Experience:

• At least 1 year experience working as a Mammography Technologist.

Job Requirements:

• Licensed by the MA Radiation Control Board
• ARRT (M) Preferred
• ACS Certified in BSE preferred
• BLS/CPR Certification (preferably from AHA)
• Fully Vaccinated against Covid-19 (Exemptions are not accepted).
