Summary:
Drive truck to deliver such items as manufactured parts and or materials to other facilities of Industrial Fabricators or as instructed to customer’s facilities.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
-Drives truck or automobile over established route to pick up or deliver materials and manufactured parts.
-Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected materials to return to Industrial Fabricators
-Obtain customer signature for delivery of manufactured parts or materials on delivery receipt.
-Clean truck
-Perform routine daily inspection of trucks and trailers. Report any needed repairs to dispatch.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education and/or experience:
CDL class A required, minimum one year experience driving tractor trailer.
Language skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, write simple correspondence and effectively present information in a one-on-one or small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of Industrial Fabricators.
Mathematical skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel: reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and sit. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
