Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Merchandiser to join our team. As a Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in creating visually appealing displays to attract customers and drive sales for TastyKake products. This position will report to and work closely with the company’s owner to maintain reliable and quality customer service in the delivery of product.

Requirements: Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance preferred, experience driving a 10ft box truck

About us: This is a small, independently owned business that operates efficiently with a dedicated team of responsible and dependable workers to ensure a continued seamless and efficient business process.

Responsibilities:

-Driving a 10 ft box truck to and from store locations and sales routes in the Oxon Hill, MD area

-Loading products and delivering to multiple sites

-Product merchandising within stores --this includes setting up displays, stocking, and rotating products

- Interfacing with personnel at various store locations

- Effective communication to build and maintain customer relationships in the stores
- Implementing merchandising plans and guidelines to enhance product visibility
- Ensuring all displays are set up according to visual standards and company directives
- Stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Optimizing product placement and promotions

Experience:

-Proven character and integrity in a business environment

-Demonstrated mature, dependable, and responsible work experience in a professional setting

-Must be technically proficient to manage and process product orders using handheld inventory management devices

-Experience working in a self-managed, independent environment

-Customer service experience

-Driving record that is free of traffic-related convictions

- Proven experience in merchandising, retail, or related field with transferrable skills
