We are looking for an experienced tower climber to help with maintaining and replacing equipment on the tower as well as performance on the tower. The tower climber will be responsible for cleaning and replacing weather proof grease on the bolts on the tower, making sure parts of the tower are in good and safe working order, making sure grounding is intact, performing maintenance on the antennas and sometimes replacing them. We decommission old equipment, commission new equipment, or remove items from the tower that are not in use any longer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all state and federal safety regulations (OSHA, local turfing vendor, Tower Co., etc.) while working in an efficient and productive manner
• Required to work at heights installing telecom equipment/materials on towers, monopoles, etc. including mounts, radios, and antennas
• Candidate must be experienced in all aspects of line and antenna system installation, replacement, and maintenance
• A willingness to travel when and where required
• Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards

Job Responsibilities:

• Structured wiring on all coaxial and wired cables as needed at job sites
• Upgrades / Installation of 4G to 5G equipment at all small cell sites
• Always maintain a focus on safety
• Climbing and working on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment; performs tower maintenance under close supervision
• Maintain high job standards and detail orientation in a fast-paced environment
• Perform routine and special circumstance tower maintenance
• Troubleshoot and fix on connectors and Antenna system

Skills and Experience:

• Experience installing, maintaining, and removing: Cabling, Antennas, tower builds (NEW/MODS), site inspections, FAA lighting systems, cell carriers (Sprint, T-MOB, Verizon, USCC, Etc.)
• Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly
• Knowledge of practices in the wireless industry
• Minimum of two years of tower and telecommunications experience
• Minimum of one year of experience climbing a cell tower
• Upgrade 4 G to 5G installation and deployment
• Must be able to safely climb while carrying tools and equipment of up to 40 pounds and work on a cell site tower using safety gear
• Small cell work (bucket truck & 40 ft poles) would be a secondary for the tower climber
• Must be able to perform work at various heights, up to 250 feet, for long periods

Working Environment:

The employee may be exposed to extreme weather conditions, including heat and cold and wet or humid. The employee may work in high places, and/or work around moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and other equipment. The employee may also work in areas where the noise volume is loud and constant. The employee must have the ability to travel to remote job sites.

Limited Travel – Home every Weekend

Schedule:

• 8 Monday to Friday - 8-hour shift – 7:00a – 3:30p / extended hours as needed
• Schedule could involve some travel and overnight stays

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• OSHA 10 (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Valid Driver’s license (Required)

Pay: $41,600.00 - $62,400.00 per year
