Location: Oakland CA (Within 80 Miles)

Pay Range: $45 - 50/hr

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

• Must be able to use PowerBI at a very advanced level
• Advanced certifications in Power BI or related BI tools.
• Need to be comfortable working alone and collecting business requirements from stakeholders
• Previous experience in the electric utilities industry.
• Knowledge of electric operations and system data.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis and business intelligence, preferably in the utilities or energy sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Power BI and strong understanding of DAX, Power Query, and report publishing.
• Experienced in using SAP ERP and SAP Business Warehouse (BW) for data extraction and analysis.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Must be a fast learner, able to adapt quickly to new tools, systems, and methodologies

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Travel – Once a week for local candidates to Oakland, CA

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and agile Power BI Analyst to join our Electric Operations team. The successful candidate will leverage SAP and Business Warehouse (BW) data to develop insights and analytics that support operational decision-making and strategic initiatives. This role requires a fast learner with a robust analytical toolkit and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into operational performance, trends, and efficiency improvements.
• Extract and manipulate data from SAP and Business Warehouse systems to support analytics.
• Work closely with stakeholders across Electric Operations to understand their data analysis needs and deliver comprehensive visualizations. - Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting and analytics outputs.
• Provide training and support to team members on Power BI tools and best practices.
• Participate in the development of analytics strategies and contribute to project planning and management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• Support ad-hoc and non-project-based requests.
• Support the testing of enterprise system changes and implementations.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
