What are the responsibilities of a DSP?

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with disabilities with their daily living activities.
• Assist individuals with cooking meals and performing household tasks.
• Assist with teaching individuals self-care skills and independent living skills.
• Act as a companion to individuals in support.
• Assist individuals with fully integrating into the community.
• Administer medication(s) according to guidelines.
• Aid in implementing treatments, training programs, and developmental/behavioral plans.
• Document all observations and daily progress notes.
