Minnow Bucket offers a Motel, RV Park, Gas station, C-store, bait and tackle shop, deli food, boat ramp, fishing dock, propane filling station etc.

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will play a key role in providing excellent service to our customers and ensuring smooth transactions at the point of sale.

**Responsibilities:**

- Greet customers as they enter the establishment

- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register

- Accept payments in the form of cash, credit, or debit cards

- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers

- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and the store

- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products or services

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction

- General housekeeping tasks

**Requirements:**

- Math skills for handling transactions and providing correct change

- Previous experience in cash handling preferred

- Knowledge of food safety regulations is a plus

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills

- Familiarity with retail math concepts such as calculating discounts and sales tax

- Experience in a culinary, kitchen, restaurant, or retail environment is beneficial

- Proficiency in operating a cash register and POS systems

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of Fishing tackle and bait is a plus

**Physical Requirements**

• Ability to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store.
• Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
• Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
• Ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift.
• Ability to safely access all areas of the store including selling floor, side lot, stock area, and register area.
• Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store (e.g. dolly, golf cart, computer, cash register)
• Ability to constantly operate store equipment such as computer, cash register, and other store equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
• Ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to process information / merchandise through the point-of-sale system.
• Ability to handle and be in contact with birds/poultry.
• Ability to successfully complete all required training.
