Job Description: Policy Analyst
Status: Full-Time Regular, Exempt
Range: $85,000-$100,000 (Based on experience)
Position Summary: The IHCSCV is seeking to hire a Policy Analyst to help with activities to support tracking and responding to federal, state and local health policies and regulations as they impact IHCSCV. S/he will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be a member of the Executive Office. This is a position requiring a combination of education, experience, cultural competency and political acumen that would adequately prepare one for a senior role at an Urban Indian Health Organization. The Policy Analyst will have both internal and external facing responsibilities grounded in serving the Indian/Tribal/Urban (ITU) system of care to advance the mission of IHCSCV through excellence in regulatory tracking, policy, advocacy, outreach, technical assistance, research and related projects. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to think strategically about how to support IHCSCV’s leadership as they seek to strengthen healthcare access. The successful candidate will be an individual with vision, passion, commitment, knowledge, skills and a proven track record in achieving measurable advancements in policy and programs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The policy Analyst seek out opportunities for Urban Indian Health to be advanced in the federal, state and local policy making arenas. This includes leading efforts to engage support of priority issues, working collaboratively with UIO’s, Tribes and tribal organizations, creating open communication and solid collaboration.
