Director of InternationalThe Director of International is responsible for leading and executing the Indianapolis Colts global markets in line with the team’s overall mission and values. This position will play a key role in expanding the Colts brand to international markets, as a part of the NFL’s Global Markets Program, and will work collaboratively with ownership, the executive team, football operations and communications, and all business verticals to drive fan engagement and growth in the team’s international markets. This is a full-time position working from our main office at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center. MANAGERVice President of Marketing DIRECT REPORTSTBDRESPONSIBILITIESSpecific responsibilities include:Develop and execute an annual marketing and activation plan for each of the club’s international markets with a focus on driving fan engagement and audience growth through a variety of initiatives, including:Influencer marketingEvents and in-market activationsEarned mediaCivic and community partnershipsDigital/social content development systemLicensed merchandise (in partnership with Fanatics)Player and Alumni engagementFlag Football Camps and ProgrammingEstablish and manage agency and consultant partnerships in the team’s international markets to support the annual marketing and activation plan and advise the team on their international strategy. Develop and launch a plan to provide multi-channel access to Colts games within the team’s priority international markets.Lead the process to secure GDPR compliance in each of the team’s international markets, in partnership with in-house and League legal counsel.Collaborate with the NFL’s Global Markets staff and agency partners to establish media relationships and develop a media strategy to leverage pre-season game broadcasts and radio broadcasts.Oversee an internal working committee to ensure cross-departmental support of international efforts.Work across all key business verticals to integrate them into the international strategy and foster a collaborative effort toward business growth in these markets (e.g. content and production, corporate sponsorship, analytics and digital innovation, etc.)Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders locally and in the club’s international markets to drive our business priorities.Support the team’s corporate partnership staff in identifying opportunities for revenue growth as a part of the team’s multi-year strategy.Work closely with the NFL’s International staff on all elements of our Global Markets Program and serve as the primary point of contact for all club international marketing efforts.Develop and manage an annual budget for international marketing.Build the club’s long-term strategy for continued international growth.Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 10 years of experience in a related field.Previous experience with international relations/marketing/business strongly preferred.Sports experience strongly preferred.Previous multi-functional agency experience required.Commitment to a collaborative and team-focused approach.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.Ability to travel internationally (minimum of 4-6 times per year).Ability to multi-task and think quickly on one’s feet using independent judgment.Ability to innovate and think creatively.Ability to work evening and weekend hours periodically as needed based on the team’s events, including all home games. Responsibilities and qualifications may change at any time with or without notice.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
