The IU Herron School of Art Design invites applications for a visiting appointment as a Lecturer in Visual Communication Design. At Herron, lecturer positions are teaching-intensive, making them an ideal position for someone who is wanting to work closely with students or hone their skills as an educator. We seek candidates with a record of strong creative or professional practice, innovative pedagogy, and relevant teaching experience in visual communication design or related fields of study. Candidates who demonstrate a strong interest in and capacity for delivering courses in undergraduate design programs are strongly encouraged to apply. This faculty position will entail a 4-4 course load. Teaching might entail a combination of on-the-ground, hybrid, and online platforms. The position is for one year with the possibility of renewal.In addition to teaching four classes per semester (or the equivalent), the position requires the successful applicant to plan and administer courses and programs in conjunction with the faculty and administration.
