Job Description:
Indiana Wheel Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Maintenance Technician with expertise in PLC/Robotic Programming to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by leading maintenance efforts and optimizing our PLC and robotic systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians in executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues with manufacturing equipment, PLCs, and robotic systems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Program, configure, and optimize PLCs and robotic systems to meet production requirements and quality standards.
  • Perform regular inspections, including annual, and assessments of equipment to identify potential issues and implement proactive maintenance measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory utilizing Limble software.
  • Scheduling of 3rd party resources as approved by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens preferred) and robotic programming (Kawasaki, ABB, or similar).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and programming issues.
  • Solid understanding of industrial automation systems, including sensors, actuators, controllers, and HMI interfaces.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends or off-hours to support maintenance activities.
