Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing New Student Orientation for fall semester
• Attend NSO Coordinating Team meetings
• Develop and manage the web-based platform used for orientation scheduling and communication
• Assist in managing first-year experience social media pages
• Assist in the recruitment, training and supervision of the NSO Welcome Team
• Assess the effectiveness of NSO
• Identify needs of historically marginalized groups including ethnically diverse, first-generation, and low-socioeconomic students and create appropriate supports to foster success and belonging
• Other duties as assigned within the student engagement area to provide support for staff and holistic development for students

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution
• Enrollment in or completion of Master’s program at a regionally accredited institution

Experience

• Experience in student affairs during undergraduate education preferred
