VP UNIVERSITY RELATIONS OFFICE (UA-VPUR-IUBLA)

The Indiana University Center on Representative Government seeks a student research assistant with interest in civic education to support existing staff for a 3-year grant awarded by the Department of Defense.

Department Specific Responsibilities

• Researches and helps write educational materials to fulfill a civic education grant awarded by the Department of Defense.
• Materials will rely heavily on primary sources and their analysis.
• Completed materials will include scripts/storyboards, lesson ideas, discussion questions, and links to additional vetted resources.
• Materials must be clearly written, well documented and grammatically correct.

EDUCATION

Required

• Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University

SKILLS

Required

• Research focus on U.S. history 1776-2000.
• Excellent research skills
• Clear and effective writing
• Good organization skills
• Ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with Microsoft products
• Familiarity with Teams

$15.00 per hour

15-20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate class schedule.
