The 189 room Biddle Hotel, located within the Indiana Memorial Union, is the largest hotel in Bloomington, Indiana. Department-Specific Responsibilities

• Operates a multi-line phone system.
• Provides memorable guest service that make guests feel part of the IU community.
• Provides assistance with guest relations at the Biddle Hotel front desk, including customer service, check-in/out, troubleshooting issues with guest rooms, answering phone calls and emails, cash handling, key inventory, and documentation.
• Make reservations in an integrated Property Management System
• Coordinates and communicates with other operational departments, such as housekeeping, facilities, catering, and meeting and events.
• May work in other related areas as needed
• Moderate levels of decision making.
• Performs a high level of guest service interaction both on the phone and in person.

EDUCATION

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
