Department FLEET SERVICES (BA-MOTR-IUBLA)
Department Information Fleet Services is the full-service, fleet management organization at Indiana University. We provide vehicle and equipment rentals, leases, maintenance, fueling, and manage micro-transit van services for IU Bloomington, and fleet program assistance for the IU regional campuses. Our team is dedicated to providing safe, reliable, cost-effective and sustainable transportation solutions for our customers to support the mission of Indiana University.
Job Summary - Provides transportation resources to faculty, staff, and students for university business travel and department assigned units on all campuses.
- Provides specialized support for the administrative functions of Fleet Services activities.
- Assists in maintaining compliance with vehicle title and licensing processes and procedures for University leased and owned vehicles.
- Oversees opening, sorting, and routing of incoming email. Answers correspondence and prepares outgoing mail.
- Organizes office operations and procedures, such as creation of Word and Excel files, bookkeeping, and preparation of payrolls, flow of correspondence, filing, requisition of supplies, and other office services.
- Compiles, copies, sorts, and files records of office activities by maintaining vehicles records in the fleet management information system (RTA).
- May perform other duties related to maintaining an internal website and/or working with social media.
Qualifications EDUCATION
Required - High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred - 1 year of office experience

Required - Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information, with a professional customer service orientation and demonstrated ability to work well with a diverse student, faculty, and staff population
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Team-oriented with the ability to recognize when tasks need to be completed, taking initiative to assist where and when needed
- Ability to perform multiple/concurrent tasks requiring a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with access to critical university data
- Operating knowledge of standard office equipment
Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary $15.00 per hour
Work Hours Fleet Services office hours are 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Hours for this position are variable and will not exceed 25 hours per week.
