This position can be either day shift or night shift. About Cardiopulmonary
We have an exciting nursing opportunity on our Advanced Cardio/Pulmonary unit at Methodist Hospital! This 26 bed unit is unique in that it is an acuity adaptable unit, nurses care for a variety of patient acuity levels, including Progressive Care! Some patient diagnoses include: COPD, CHF, Pulmonary Fibrosis, ventilated patients, pneumonia, lung cancer, and ENT.
Nursing skills gained working on this unit:
- Multitasking/Prioritization
- Building strength in foundational nursing skills
- Teamwork
- Opportunities to learn specialized pulmonary skills
- Caring for complex patients

- In 2023, Cardiopulmonary nurses presented the Turn Team Initiative at the AONL National Professional Governance Conference - this initiative helps to reduce harm and improve patient outcomes
