Southern Indiana Physicians , part of the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Indiana, is seeking an experienced Non-Invasive/General Cardiologist to join their collegial team located in beautiful Bloomington, Indiana!

Position Highlights:

• Join a well-established, collegial and supportive practice surrounded by a great team of physicians and advanced providers in a university community within a diverse cultural environment
• Full-Time; Monday through Friday including dedicated administrative time
• 1-8 call offering work-life balance
• 70% general cardiology clinic, 15% medical director administrative time and 15% Sports Cardiologist for IU Athletics

Join a strong and collaborative team, dedicated to optimizing a quality program while expanding services to the east side counties of the region. Research collaboration across IU Athletics and IU Health is expected, and Sports Cardiology training is required. Teaching for 1st through 4th year medical students, with accredited residency programs beginning in 2025 and 2026. Research is an area of opportunity as we grow our team and explore research opportunities with sports cardiology.

Qualifications:

• Fellowship training in Cardiology, required
• Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana

Hospital Overview

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.

At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
