General Statement of Duties:

The Inventory Control Clerk I is responsible to receive, store, inventory and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stock. The position maintains inventory, purchasing, and receiving storeroom products and stocks nursing units with medical supplies. The Clerk receives and delivers products to various departments.

Essential Duties:

  1. Organizes dock shipments by storeroom and department direct orders. Assures timely and accurate distribution of supplies and proper storage of stock to appropriate departments.
  2. Distributes items to proper department and/or persons after matching items on PO’s to packing slip. Reports any discrepancies to the proper person or persons.
  3. Responsible for monitoring inventories for OIH, involving patient floor, surgery, anesthesia, pre-op, and post-op as well as other areas of the building.
  4. Cycle counts inventory to assure product availability.
  5. Performs product expiration sweeps as assigned.
  6. Involved in building and adjusting surgeon sheds and part locations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of inventory experience strongly preferred
