At Indiana Donor Network, our mission is saving and enhancing the quality of life through organ, tissue and eye donation and transplantation. As a Family Advocate you will serve as a liaison between the donor family, procurement coordinator, and hospital clinicians.

You'll be responsible for initiating donation conversations with families of potential donors, responding to referrals from local hospitals to collect and communicate data, and evaluate referrals called in by hospital staff. You'll be given the opportunity to facilitate in the donation process and support donor families, as needed. This position works three 12-hour shifts plus one 12-hour on-call night shift per week. It covers a territory located primarily in central and northern Indiana

Qualifications


Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, or relevant education and experience in a social services, clinical or related field. Experience in social work, medical social work, nursing and/or respiratory therapy would be helpful. Previous experience/certification in crisis intervention, grief/loss, healthcare, donation/transplantation is preferred.
